Distinctive characteristics of deficits of articulation-phonological and lexical-semantic abilities of children with developmental language disorder

Language disorder is defined as a of the acquisition, comprehension or expression spoken and/or written language that may be expressed in one more aspects system including phonology, semantics, morphology, syntax and pragmatics. Difficulties at level morphology are by far most recognizable researched linguistic aspects, while research on other has been left aside. The aim this study was to determine distinctive features deficit articulation-phonological lexical-semantic abilities children with developmental (DLD) younger school age. Our included 79 respondents, 39 them diagnosis DLD 40 typical development. average age respondents group 6.87 years, control 6.93. In research, prepared battery tests used assess (Global Articulation Test, Oral Praxis Phoneme Difference Test Auditory Discrimination Test), Vocabulary Semantic lexical semantic abilities. Children had higher scores all used, but discriminant analysis found synonyms, oral practice, metonyms, phonemic hearing, auditory discrimination contributed discrimination, variables less projection. It important mention articulation slightly contributes discrimination.
